Michael Massa helps individuals, families and businesses achieve their financial goals by bringing expertise, education, and clarity to his clients. Michael is a member of the Retirement Benefits Group, a specialized division that works with public school employees and their retirement planning needs. Michael emphasizes creating long-lasting relationships with his clients to structure the most effective retirement plan possible for each person.
Before moving back to Connecticut, Michael worked as an Instructional Assistant where he taught students with special needs. Soon after, he became a 6th grade Elementary School teacher in Del Mar, CA. He has also worked as an ESL teacher in Taiwan, helping adolescents and adults learn English. Michael has firsthand experience on what teachers go through day in and day out. His goal is to help teachers take control of their finances so they can focus on their students and personal life.
Michael is a graduate from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Business Administration and holds his Masters in Teaching from Point Loma Nazarene University. Outside of work, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and spending time in the outdoors.
